Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle Review

The Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle is an ideal choice for anyone interested in working out at home. It offers eight levels of preset resistance, and an easy-to-adjust tension-tightening knob which allows you to match the workout to your specific fitness level. Tracking your workout is also a breeze thanks to the large console display; you can keep tabs on your distance, time, speed , and the calories being burned.

The recumbent exercise bike boasts a compact design as well as a smooth magnetic resistance. More importantly though, the exercise bike is comfortable and supportive, featuring a recumbent step-through frame for easy mounting and dismounting. Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle Reviews:

Of the over one hundred reviews of this product featured on, we have found that the majority of consumers have given this exercise bike a fairly high rating. There are however some who aren’t as fond with this bike as others, stating that the quality of the exercise bike is not the best.

Most people feel that the exercise bike is straightforward and not too hard to assemble, with one reviewer mentioning that the instructions are concise, and if you’ve assembled a table from IKEA or Staples before, you should be just fine. Basically, there are three primary pieces that make up the frame. The main shaft (containing the embedded pedal box), the rear shaft (seat, backrest, and handlebars are mounted here), and the rear shaft (computer is attached here). The distance between the rear shaft and the main shaft is adjustable at several different points, but there are mixed feelings about how well this works.

Some feel that it is almost useless. One reviewer who is six feet tall uses the setting that pushes the seat as close to the pedals as possible. Others who aren’t as tall, have resorted to sitting on the edge of the seat or placing a pillow behind them for support so they can actually reach the pedals.

But for the price of this machine, most people feel that it is a great bargain and works well. Many people are happy with the price. The computer is battery operated and features several modes; distance, speed, time, and calories burned for instance. However, it has no programs and could be considered pretty basic.

Some have been unhappy with the costumer service, and still others have found that their exercise bike suddenly began to make strange grinding noises only a couple months after making their purchases. Something that may be happening during assembly, is an over-tightened flywheel axle pulley, which soon causes damage to the ball bearings. Not only does this cause it to start making an obnoxious noise, but it also causes the machine’s resistance to become inconsistent.

In the end, most consumers however do like this exercise bike and feel that it is a very comfortable machine at a really great price. It may be good for a beginners bike more so than for someone who seriously trains. If that is the case there are probably better options out there.
